Job Description

Job Title:
Warehouse Shipper/Receiver Job Summary:
The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are stored and transported safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in supporting warehouse operations and meeting delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices Unload trucks and properly store materials in designated warehouse locations Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documentation Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts Report damaged or missing items to supervisors Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to meet shipping deadlines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred Basic computer skills (inventory systems, shipping software) Ability to operate forklifts (certification a plus) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures Frequent lifting, bending, and walking Preferred Skills (Optional): Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) Knowledge of shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight) Basic math and data entry accuracy
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
