Full Job Description Schedule:
Mon-Fri 6:15am-2:45pm, occasional Saturdays as needed The Shipping Associate is responsible for handling, packaging, and shipping finished goods and materials in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of products while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Print labels Label boxes Scan boxes into system Weigh finished pallets and document for BOL's Handle and move packaged goods safely and efficiently. Build and ship sample and customer orders according to specifications. Perform general cleaning and maintain a sanitary work environment. Receive and ship products using proper handling techniques and computer entry systems. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation. Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks); forklift experience is a plus. Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to management. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); inventory experience is a plus. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (45-55°F) for the entire shift. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Knowledge of product safety and food handling standards preferred.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus. Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a cold, fast-paced production and warehouse environment. Requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. May require overtime or weekend shifts depending on operational needs. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
