Job Description The Receiving Coordinator plays a critical role in managing incoming materials and components to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for the coordination of all receiving activities, including verifying shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are promptly and correctly delivered to their designated areas. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards. Essential Job Functions Coordinate all inbound shipments by receiving, inspecting, and documenting deliveries according to established procedures. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed. Communicate with procurement, quality, and production teams regarding missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Ensure materials are properly labeled and safely stored or delivered to the appropriate production area or warehouse location. Maintain accurate records of all received materials in the inventory system (ERP/WMS). Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as directed. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving docks and staging areas. Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to prioritize receiving based on production demands and schedules. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while promoting a safe working environment. Leadership & Coordination Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for all receiving activities during assigned shift. Provide direction and support to warehouse associates assisting in receiving tasks. Coordinate with internal departments to communicate material availability and delays. Escalate urgent receiving issues to supervisors or management as appropriate. Ensure receiving documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes and material flow. Participate in daily warehouse/production meetings to align on goals and priorities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Working knowledge of inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Ability to interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Forklift certification or willingness to be trained and certified. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Frequent standing, bending, twisting, and squatting throughout the shift. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions. Work Environment Manufacturing floor and warehouse setting. Exposure to loud noise, dust, and moving machinery. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
