Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gate Clerk to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring smooth access control at the facility's gate. Your responsibilities will include managing shipping and receiving documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate records using various warehouse management systems. Responsibilities Verify and process all inbound and outbound shipments using warehouse management software and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Control access to the facility by authorizing vehicles, drivers, visitors, and contractors in accordance with security protocols Assist with shipping logistics, including scheduling pickups, coordinating delivery times, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations when applicable Perform data entry tasks accurately for shipment documentation, inventory updates, and order fulfillment records using Microsoft Office tools and inventory management software Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, order pickers, RF scanners, and forklifts to load and unload goods safely and efficiently Support order picking, packing, stocking, and inventory management activities to ensure timely order fulfillment for e-commerce or distribution channels Maintain detailed logs of gate activity, shipments, inspections, and incidents while adhering to trade compliance standards Experience Previous experience working in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or MRP systems is advantageous Proven ability to handle shipping & receiving processes accurately in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of inventory management practices including stock control and order picking procedures Basic math skills necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment quantities Experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or forklifts is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and team members Join our team as a Gate Clerk where your attention to detail meets your enthusiasm for logistics!
