Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gate Clerk, where you will be the first point of contact at our distribution center's entry point. This vital role ensures smooth and secure access for all personnel, visitors, and carriers while maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help uphold safety, security, and operational efficiency across our warehouse environment. Duties Manage access control by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and transportation providers using warehouse management systems and RFID scanners Process inbound and outbound shipments with precision, ensuring accurate data entry into inventory management software and ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs Assist with shipping logistics, including load & unload operations, order picking & packing, and inventory stocking using RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts Maintain detailed logs of all gate activities, shipments, and visitor entries to ensure compliance with trade regulations and security protocols Support warehouse operations by coordinating order fulfillment activities such as picking & packing orders for e-commerce platforms Conduct routine inspections of the yard and gate area to uphold safety standards and prevent theft or unauthorized access Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries from drivers, visitors, and team members promptly and professionally Experience Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP is essential Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and logistics coordination is a plus Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely; forklift certification is preferred Strong basic math skills for accurate data entry and shipment verification Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, drivers, and visitors Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance practices is advantageous Join us in this energetic role where your attention to detail fuels our operational excellence! Pay:
$20.98 - $22.47 per hour
