A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

These duties shall include but are not limited to the following: 2.1 Verify with documentation that incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate. 2.2 Palletize orders for shipment as needed. 2.3 Assist forklift operators with loading and unloading of material. 2.4 Stencil, tally and record joint numbers and heat numbers for all incoming material. 2.5 Assist in inventory audits as needed. 2.6 Maintain shipping and receiving area in a neat and clean condition.
