Job Description

Receiving Clerk / Dock Receiver Company Overview We are a leading catering company serving international airlines with high-quality food and supply services. Our operation depends on timely receiving, handling, and storage of products to support daily airline catering production. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse and dock operations team. Job Summary The Receiving Clerk is responsible for unloading delivery trucks, receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, and organizing products in designated storage areas. This position works in dock and warehouse environments where weather conditions and temperature changes may occur. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced operation. Key Responsibilities Unload trucks and deliveries safely and efficiently at the loading dock Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damages Verify packing slips, invoices, and delivery documentation Organize and transport products to proper storage locations Maintain cleanliness and organization of dock and receiving areas Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely Communicate with warehouse, purchasing, and kitchen teams regarding deliveries and shortages Ensure compliance with food safety, company, and OSHA regulations Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed Work Environment Work is performed in warehouse, dock, cooler, freezer, and outdoor loading areas Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity Fast-paced environment with frequent truck deliveries and tight schedules Requires standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift Qualifications & Requirements Previous receiving, warehouse, shipping, or dock experience preferred Ability to lift and move up to 50-75 lbs regularly Comfortable working in varying weather and temperature conditions Basic computer and paperwork skills preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift certification is a plus (if applicable) Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed Skills Receiving and inventory handling Time management Safety awareness Teamwork and communication Physical stamina and reliability Attention to detail
