Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and facilitating efficient warehouse operations. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and experience in shipping and receiving processes. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels while supporting order fulfillment and distribution activities. Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and availability of stock. Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy. Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to coordinate the loading and unloading of goods. Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory movements and updating stock records. Assist in order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes to meet customer demands. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency. Support e-commerce operations by managing inventory for online orders. Implement best practices for packaging and labeling products for shipment. Provide assistance in training new staff on inventory control procedures. Experience Previous experience in warehouse management or distribution is preferred. Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment, stocking, and inventory control techniques is essential. Proficient in using MRP systems, AS400 software, or similar inventory management tools. Basic math skills are required for accurate stock counting and record keeping. Experience with picking & packing operations as well as knowledge of e-commerce logistics is a plus. Ability to operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and RF scanners safely.
