Position Summary The ShippingReceiving Clerk is responsible for checking in drivers, scheduling and rescheduling inbound and outbound shipments ensuring that flow of goods supports customer service expectations and warehouse capacity, maintain real-time visibility on shipping and receiving accuracy with a proactive approach to correcting errors, and coordinate rail freight activities when required. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, customer-focused individual who is proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers. Key Responsibilities Check in drivers Monitor daily emails Schedule appointments Keeping up with daily log/and daily schedule Following up with carriers on late or missed pick-ups. Schedule inbound loads and outbound loads. Document and report scheduling issues by account. Monitor and report accuracy on ISO conformances pertaining to receiving/shipping activities. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong data entry skills; accuracy - Clerical skills Professional Communication skills; verbal and written Attention to detail, organization Reliable Transportation Willingness to learn Palmer procedures
Minimum Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of Shipping/Receiving experience Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, Synapse a plus High school diploma or GED Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Bilingual - Spanish - with ability to speak and write English preferred.
