SUMMARY:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk receives, documents, packs, and ships materials accurately and on time. This role uses a computer, the ERP system, and shipping software to process receipts, generate packing slips, prepare shipping labels, update inventory records, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation. Prior ERP experience is preferred, but candidates with strong computer skills and the ability to learn will be considered. Essential Job Functions- Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming shipments; enter receipts, discrepancies, and inventory updates in the ERP system.
- Use the computer, ERP system, and shipping software to generate packing slips, shipping labels, and required shipment paperwork.
- Pick, pack, protect, label, and stage outgoing shipments according to order, customer, carrier, and company requirements.
- Confirm that ERP records, packing slips, shipping paperwork, and physical shipment contents match before release.
- Coordinate pickups with parcel, freight, or internal carriers and communicate shipment issues or delays to appropriate teams.
- Maintain organized, labeled, and safe shipping, receiving, and inventory storage areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely.
- Handle RMA returns, report shipment or equipment issues, follow safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. Strong computer skills and ability to learn ERP and shipping software. Attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data, review paperwork, and match shipment contents to documentation. Ability to read packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders, shipping labels, and related documents. Ability to pack products securely using appropriate materials, labels, and documentation. Effective communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and safely operate pallet jacks and walk-behind forklifts. Preferred Qualifications- One to three years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or related experience.
- Experience using an ERP system to generate packing slips, process receipts, print shipping documentation, and update inventory records.
- Experience with common parcel and freight carriers, such as UPS, FedEx, and freight providers.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience.
