Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound logistics processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Services will be performed at Fort Eustis, VA at the ATSC Warehouse. Your proactive approach will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while supporting a fast-paced, safety-conscious warehouse environment. Responsibilities Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, ensuring accuracy in order picking and packing processes. Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products using proper inventory techniques, including cycle counts and stock replenishment. Utilize basic math skills to calculate weights, measurements, and quantities for accurate packaging and shipping. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols during load & unload operations and warehouse distribution tasks. Support inventory management through stock tracking in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and updating records promptly. Requirements Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures. Must be eligible to obtain Common Access Credentials (CAC). Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs is highly preferred. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for order fulfillment accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment safely. Basic math skills for inventory calculations and order processing. Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus. Pay:
