Join Our Team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and logistics operations onsite in Staunton, VA . In this role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout the organization. What You'll Do Receiving & Inventory Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly. Accurately record and update inventory transactions in warehouse and inventory management systems. Maintain organized storage locations and ensure accurate inventory tracking. Shipping & Logistics Prepare products for shipment by packing, labeling, and documenting orders. Verify packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents for accuracy. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, freight companies, and logistics partners. Ensure shipments are processed and dispatched on schedule. Generate shipping labels and complete required shipping documentation. Customer & Supplier Support Provide shipment information and updates to internal teams as needed. Process customer returns, inspect returned items, and update inventory records accordingly. Warehouse Operations Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and shipping regulations. What We're Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or a related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience with inventory management, ERP, or warehouse management systems (WMS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Technical Knowledge Familiarity with shipping carrier software (UPS, FedEx, etc.) is a plus. Understanding of inventory control processes and warehouse best practices. Experience generating reports and maintaining electronic documentation. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull inventory and materials. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and stretching.
