RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate with logistics, customer service, and other staff involved in shipment activitiesAssist with scheduling and rescheduling shipmentsPlan logistics including staffing and storage spaceTrack and update incoming and outgoing shipmentsPrepare orders for shipment and verify the quality and quantity of ordersLoad and unload trucks and palletsInspect incoming stock and reject damaged goodsComplete documents for in-transit damage claimsReport discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions to the supervisorSort, separate, and store deliveries in designated areasMaintain inventory of materials and suppliesCarefully maneuver equipment and tools that involve close control and adjustmentWork individually and as a team to ensure orders are shipped out on timeComply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gearMaintain a clean and safe work environment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Previous shipping/receiving experience is preferredExperience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plusExcellent communication and organization skillsRequired to stand for an extended timeEngage in frequent squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and liftingAbility to work in various weather and temperature conditionsAbility to operate necessary tools and equipment after trainingAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGreat analytical and problem-solving skillsFollow written and verbal instructionsSurge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
