Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join our team in Whytheville for shipping our Pumpkins and then in Elk Creek to ship our Christmas trees. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the shipping, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise will help optimize inventory flow, improve shipping process, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and accuracy are key drivers of success. Duties Coordinate and execute shipping activities using warehouse management systems and ERP software, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods Prepare shipments by packaging products securely, labeling accurately, and complying with trade and international trade regulations Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and organize inventory within the warehouse Utilize RF scanners, inventory management software, and data entry tools to track stock levels, update records, and manage order fulfillment processes Conduct inventory management tasks including stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain optimal warehouse distribution Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction Maintain safety standards during all warehouse operations by adhering to proper procedures for load & unload activities and equipment handling Skills Must be able to work long hours 6 days a week and this will be TOP PAY! This is a
SEASONAL
position starting mid-August until mid-December. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping, organized, paperwork accuracy, working with truck drivers that will be loaded, stay on schedule with warehouse for them to load trucks. Proficiency with warehouse management systems Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and calculating shipment weights or volumes Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and customer service representatives
