Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely, labeling accurately, and ensuring proper documentation for shipping compliance. Pick, pack, and assemble orders with precision using order picking tools and RF scanners to meet customer specifications. Manage stock levels through accurate stocking, inventory updates in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400 or similar platforms. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols during load & unload activities and stock management. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and ensure timely order fulfillment for e-commerce or bulk orders. Requirements Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving operations. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely; certification preferred. Strong basic math skills for counting, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities. Knowledge of packaging standards and order picking/packing procedures to ensure accurate delivery. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform load & unload tasks efficiently.
