Dispensary — where no two days look exactly the same. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly and loves variety in their workday. About the Role You'll be the backbone of our distribution operation - managing inbound and outbound shipments, keeping inventory tight, and ensuring our retail locations get exactly what they need, when they need it. Every other Wednesday, you'll hit the road and personally deliver products to our store locations across Wisconsin. The rest of the time, you're in the warehouse keeping things humming. What you'll do: Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory in our distribution facility Verify, package, and document inbound and outbound orders Perform local vendor pickups and deliveries Transport fleet vehicles to maintenance facilities as scheduled Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and fully operational Drive delivery routes every other Wednesday across Wisconsin What we're looking for: Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Prior warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience preferred Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable sitting for extended drives (~11 hrs on delivery days) Able to lift up to 75 pounds Must be 21 years of age or older About THE Dispensary THE Dispensary is the largest hemp-derived cannabinoid dispensary in the nation, on a mission to educate and break the stigma around cannabis — professionally and safely. SHIPPING/RECEIVING & DRIVER ASSOCIATE
Reports to: Director - Shipping/Receiving We are looking to employ a hard-working and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving & Driver Associate to support the daily distribution operations of D8D LLC/The Dispensary. This role is primarily based in our shipping and receiving department, responsible for managing the accurate and efficient movement of products throughout our distribution facility. Every other Wednesday, this associate will also serve as the delivery driver, transporting finished goods to our retail store locations across Wisconsin. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes pride in operational accuracy, thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and is comfortable behind the wheel for occasional long-haul delivery routes.Schedule & Hours:
This is a full-time position based primarily in the shipping and receiving department. Every other Wednesday, the associate will transition to a delivery driving role, with routes beginning early in the morning and typically running approximately 11 hours through the evening.Please note:
Delivery days may occasionally shift due to holidays or operational needs. Flexibility to accommodate these adjustments is required.Job Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving & Driver Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our shipping and receiving department, including inventory management, order fulfillment, inbound receiving, recordkeeping, and fleet upkeep. On scheduled delivery days, this associate operates a company vehicle to transport products to retail store locations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant deliveries. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across both warehouse and driving functions.Duties/Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving (Daily) Maintains inventory management databases, performs regular physical counts, and reconciles actual stock against system-generated reports to ensure accuracy. Verifies, documents, and records all outbound shipment contents prior to loading, ensuring accuracy against manifests and transfer documentation. Prepares, packages, and labels outbound shipments in accordance with company standards and established procedures. Prepares and processes bills of lading, invoices, and other required shipping documentation. Maintains accurate shipment records, ensuring retail store orders are current and that all billing documentation is routed to accounting and relevant departments in a timely manner. Maintains comprehensive shipping records across all required categories, including returned goods and dunnage. Receives inbound shipments and thoroughly verifies product quality, quantity, and condition upon unloading; cross-references against supplier documentation and promptly reports any discrepancies to carriers and supervisors per company SOPs. Escalates significant discrepancies, over-shipments, or product substitutions to the appropriate supervisor promptly and accurately. Maintains proactive communication with retail store managers regarding order status, expected delivery timelines, and any fulfillment issues. Documents and files damage claims for in-transit losses or damaged goods. Safely transports materials within the facility using appropriate equipment, including dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Ensures the shipping/receiving, storage, and warehouse areas are consistently organized, clean, and compliant with all applicable health and safety standards. Performs administrative and clerical tasks in support of shipping and receiving operations, including data entry, filing, and report generation. Performs local vendor pickups and deliveries as needed to support facility operations and inventory replenishment. Fleet Maintenance (Ongoing): Transports company vehicles to and from authorized maintenance and repair facilities as scheduled by management. Performs exterior and interior vehicle washing and detailing to maintain a professional fleet appearance. Conducts routine vehicle cleanouts, including removing debris, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed. Performs basic vehicle checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and general condition, and reports any concerns to management promptly. Maintains accurate records of all maintenance activities, service dates, and vehicle condition. Delivery Driving (Every Other Wednesday): Operates company vehicle(s) safely and in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Transports retail products to designated store locations, adhering to predetermined routes and schedules. Loads and unloads freight and packages at each delivery stop, ensuring product integrity throughout transport. Obtains customer or store signatures and confirms delivery completion accurately at each location. Conducts thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness. Completes and maintains accurate transportation records, including driver logs, manifests, and delivery confirmations. Reports any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly and follows established procedures for resolution. Upholds a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with store staff, and other stakeholders.General:
Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items shipped and received. Working knowledge of dock, warehouse, and distribution center procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information across teams, carriers, and vendors. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively across both warehouse and driving responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies or operational issues. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for completing reports and logs. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision. Ability to function effectively as a team member.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse production and distribution facilities and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or driving a company vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse, on the loading dock, and during vehicle operations.Additional Requirements:
Must successfully pass all required background checks. Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry. Must be at least 21 years of age. Flexibility to work variable schedules when needed, including occasional adjustments for holidays or operational needs.Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or distribution preferred. Previous experience as a delivery or OTR driver preferred. Prior experience with fleet maintenance coordination or basic vehicle upkeep is a plus.Compensation and Benefits:
