Position Title:
Material Packer location: Berlin, WI
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for packing customer orders identified from pick tickets. Other duties will include but not limited to, visually inspecting for order content, internal material movement, inventory accuracy, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Operate forklift or pallet jack for packing orders, load and unload trucks.
Exhibits a sense of urgency in all job duties especially the accurate packing of orders and reacting to internal customer requests.
Must be familiar with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that deal with Order Packing, Warehousing and Safety.
Follows good safety practices.
Verifies integrity of materials and verifies counts of material received for packing.
Moves received materials into the appropriate area.
Is trained and licensed to operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner; maintains the vehicles assigned to them.
Receives pick ticket and packs according to the order.
Inspects order for accuracy and completeness.
Keeps warehouse, receiving and shipping dock areas neat and tidy.
Completes all associated paperwork accurately and per procedure.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds safely.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Sit down and stand-up forklift certified
2+ years Packing experience preferred
ERP knowledge preferred Required Skills/Qualifications Basic math skills
Communication skills
