A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. 1st Shift; Monday•Thursday 5am•3pm Expected hours: 40 per week
Pay Rate:
1st Shift•$19/hour
Duties:
Pick and verify items to be shipping against shipping orders and packing lists. Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage. Pack items securely using appropriate materials. Generate and apply shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation. Ensure proper labeling for hazardous or international shipments. Schedule pickups with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight, etc.). Use shipping software or ERP systems to process and track outgoing shipments. Communicate with internal departments and customers about shipment status or issues. Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and freight charges. Update inventory systems to reflect outgoing products. Report discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods. Follow safety procedures. Comply with shipping regulations. Keep area clean and organized
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, shipping software, ERP systems). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Attention to detail and time management skills. Forklift certification.
