Job Description

Assistant Warehouse Manager - AL, Decatur The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inventory management and purchasing to meet the needs of each line of business. This role helps execute inventory goals as outlined in the Warehouse Operations Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensures the warehouse is maintained in a clean and safe condition per the Warehouse Audit SOP. The Assistant Manager helps coordinate employee scheduling to balance time-off requests with operational coverage and may step in to perform warehouse tasks when needed to ensure smooth operations. Receive purchase orders, pull product orders, and place them in designated areas for route preparation Count products loaded onto delivery route trucks and ensure accurate inventory management Properly store products in the warehouse, ensuring rotation based on freshness dates Operate equipment such as self-propelled electric pallet jacks and/or standard fork pallet jacks Maintain a clean and organized work environment Support and lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting Must be able to use Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required Exceptional leadership/management skills Ability to lift 25+ lbs on a repetitive basis and perform frequent bending, reaching, and stooping Consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen Ability to follow workplace safety policies and guidelines Preferred experience working in a warehouse environment Preferred experience using a forklift and/or pallet jack for loading and unloading trucks Perks of Working with
