We proudly manufacture all our garments in Los Angeles, CA, distribute leotards from our San Carlos, CA warehouse, and have remote teams in both these locations as well as throughout the US. Job Summary The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Distribution Center operations. This position involves partnering with the Operations Manager to oversee daily activities, manage staff, and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders as well as the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Carlos, CA and reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager What You'll Do Supervise and Lead Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure daily productivity, accuracy, and adherence to performance standards (including training, scheduling, and performance management and quarterly reviews). Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure a positive and productive work environment. Step in to manage daily operations in the absence of the Ops Manager. Order Fulfillment Ensure timely and accurate order processing; coordinate with sales, production, and marketing to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules; address any issues related to order fulfillment process, such as missing items, damaged goods, etc. Write pick tickets for consignment orders and support fulfillment order prep on as needed basis. Staff Schedule Management Create and maintain efficient staff schedules that align with DC priorities; monitor and adjust team assignments based on daily priorities, ensuring best utilization of hours during peak periods; coordinate with web team to address scheduling conflicts and ensure adequate staffing levels. Track attendance, break time, and overtime. Assist in the preparation of the Weekly Workforce Planner as well as interviewing, recruitment and onboarding of new warehouse staff. Communications Facilitate clear communication between DC team and remote team. Create and share regular EOD reports on productivity. Process Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in warehouse, inventory, consignment, and fulfillment operations Collaborate with DC Ops Manager to implement best practices and streamline workflows. Manage and oversee supply inventory to ensure the distribution center remains adequately stocked at all times. Safety and Compliance Enforce and train safety regulations and warehouse policies to maintain a secure work environment; promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff. Incident reporting responsibility. Qualifications Comprehensive understanding of DC procedures and standard operations. Hands on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team to meet daily goals. Detail oriented Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving, small-team environment. Tech-savvy and able to learn and use warehouse management/order processing systems. Must be local to San Carlos, CA or within a reasonable commute.
