Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Landscape Delivery and Yard Manager to lead our outdoor operations and ensure seamless delivery, distribution, and management of landscape materials. In this role, you will oversee the efficient movement of products from our yard to project sites, coordinate logistics, supervise yard staff, and optimize overall operational processes. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement initiatives within our landscape supply chain. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a critical segment of our business with energy and precision. Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of landscape material deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment aligned with project schedules. Supervise yard operations, including inventory control, shipping & receiving, and warehouse management systems to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) for freight scheduling, route planning, and load optimization to maximize efficiency. Oversee distribution operations by managing warehouse distribution processes, procurement activities, and order fulfillment workflows. Implement process improvements using lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Manage team supervision by providing clear managerial communication, supervising staff performance, and fostering a safety-conscious work environment. Collaborate with supply chain management teams on demand planning, production planning, and logistics management to meet customer needs effectively. Experience Proven supervisory experience in warehouse operations or distribution management within a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong familiarity with transportation planning systems, ERP systems (such as AS400), inventory management tools, and warehouse management systems. Demonstrated ability in process management, process improvement initiatives, and lean methodologies to streamline operations. Experience managing freight logistics including 3PL providers and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) shipping arrangements. Skilled in budgeting, demand planning, procurement, and supply chain analytics to support operational excellence. Excellent team management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of leadership. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse operations, inventory control practices, and distribution strategies is highly desirable.
