Job Description

Yard & Dock Manager The Marina at Highland Lake is looking for a Yard & Dock Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hard-working professional who has excellent customer service skills, perform physical tasks and have a strong mechanical ability. This role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and is ideal for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced marina environment. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate. Schedule This is a 9-10 month position from March through November. Hours are Tuesdays through Fridays and one weekend day. Requires working summer holidays Yard Operations Maintain a clean, organized marina and sales yard Coordinate launching, hauling, and transporting boats Organize boat inventory and trailer storage Coordinate seasonal dock installation and removal Assist with facility maintenance and groundskeeping Operate tractors, forklifts, and trailers Dock & Rental Operations Supervise dock attendants Oversee boat rental check-in/check-out Ensure rental boats are cleaned, fueled, and ready Monitor fuel dock operations Maintain docks and waterfront appearance Handle customer issues and ensure excellent service Fleet Management Schedule cleaning and maintenance of rental fleet Monitor maintenance needs Coordinate repairs with service department Maintain safety equipment Ensure boats are ready each morning Perform regular maintenace of marina trucks and equipment Skills and Knowledge Excellent customer service Boating experience and/or knowledge required Ability to trailer boats Ability to drive tractors Strong leadership skills Highly organized and dependable Computer skills/payment processing Mechanical aptitude Ability to lift and work outdoors Driver's license required Boat license prefered (or willingness to obtain)
