Touchton Plumbing Contractors, Inc., a family-owned and operated company serving Jacksonville for over 30 years, is seeking a hands-on Fleet & Yard Manager to keep our trucks, equipment, and yard running like clockwork. If you're organized, mechanically minded, hold a valid CDL, and take pride in keeping an operation moving, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
Manage the company fleet — scheduling maintenance, repairs, registrations, inspections, and keeping every truck road-ready Ensure DOT compliance across the fleet, including records, inspections, and driver requirements Operate CDL-class vehicles as needed to move equipment and deliver materials to job sites Track vehicle assignments, mileage, fuel cards, and GPS, and control fleet-related costs Oversee the yard and warehouse — organizing materials, tools, and equipment so crews can load up and get out fast Manage inventory: receiving deliveries, staging job materials, and keeping accurate stock counts Maintain equipment and ensure tools are serviced, accounted for, and ready for use Keep the yard clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards Coordinate with service, new construction, and office staff to support daily operations and job readiness
What We're Looking For:
3+ years in fleet, yard, warehouse, or logistics management (trades or construction environment preferred) Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required Mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet compliance Strong organization, inventory, and recordkeeping skills Comfortable using technology for tracking and scheduling Clean driving record Positive attitude, reliability, and a hands-on work ethic
