This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire logistics process, including shipping & receiving, delivering & freight planning to warehouse/inventory management and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving process improvements, drives proactive/analytical reporting, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining seamless coordination between multiple stakeholders. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive distribution strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across all channels. Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely replenishment using ERP systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Manage transportation planning and logistics operations, including freight, shipping & receiving, dispatching, fleet management, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships. Lead demand planning, production scheduling, procurement, and materials management to align supply with forecasted demand. Supervise warehouse staff and distribution teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean methodologies and process optimization initiatives. Monitor profit & loss statements related to distribution activities; analyze supply chain analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Ensure compliance with safety standards and warehouse safety regulations while maintaining high standards of inventory control and warehouse distribution. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse supervision, operations management, or supply chain leadership with a strong background in inventory management, logistics, and transportation management systems. Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Continuous Improvement frameworks. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., AS400), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools. Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams involved in shipping & receiving, freight forwarding (including NVOCC operations), procurement, dispatching, and order fulfillment. Knowledge of budgeting practices, demand planning, production planning, and fleet management principles. Ability to analyze complex data sets related to supply chain performance and implement strategic solutions for operational excellence. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments including purchasing, procurement, logistics providers (3PL), and warehouse staff.
