Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing all operations of the mail center including routing, postage, and management of staff. Maintains the privacy and security regulations as outlines by the Federal Aviation Agency. Requires attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain knowledge of the SOW- Statement of Work and SOP-Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that they are properly fulfilled to avoid service failures. Ensure that personnel policies are consistently applied, and all related documentation is both monitored and kept on file in accordance with company policy. Process and handle all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper routing, and labeling Monitor employee performance Communicate with furniture contractors for general repairs and maintain invoices and furniture contractor service work orders Picks up, delivers, and processes interdepartmental and external (U.S., international) mail, parcels, and other materials. Operates mailroom machinery including postage metering and performs basic maintenance as needed. Prepare routine reports Orders materials and supplies needed for the mail center. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, departmental customers, and other related individuals. Maintain warehouse inventory and oversees gathering, storage, and redistribution of surplus property. Create standardized processes and training for the mailroom team. Ability to solve conflicts within the department Prepare routine report Facilitate the resolution of issues concerning invoicing, mail delivery and other aspects Assists mailroom staff with daily operations as and when needed Additional duties as required by Operations Manager This may not constitute an entire list of dutiesBENEFITS

At least two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience to provide necessary knowledge and abilities.ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a Federal background check Must be able to pass a DMV background check Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving recordSKILLS AND ABILITIES COMPETENCIES
Experience with federal service contracts preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff and public. Preferred experience in UPS and Fed Ex shipping procedures. Preferred knowledge of U.S. Postal regulations in the process of handling incoming, outgoing, certified, registered, insured and express mail. Strong leadership skills that include being a self-starter Ability to learn new duties and technology-related skills as required and knowledge of MS office software applications. Excellent organizational and communication skills including effective oral and written skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines with thorough and completed results. Ability to train, assign and review the work of employees. Experience with quality control and quality assurance programs preferred. Must be highly organized, trustworthy, responsible, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED MS
