Empire Distributors Inc , A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring a PM Warehouse Manager . Summary Manages the process and performance of all outbound distribution operations. Supports the Director of Operations with developing annual operational budgets; completes and evaluates weekly and monthly financial forecasts. Develops and reviews management reports regarding statistical data necessary to assure department efficiencies are met. Takes required actions to maintain compliance with goals. Provides input into the development, implementation and/or execution of processes to control labor scheduling, supervision, proper utilization of space, control of physical inventories, equipment availability and manpower. With the use of auditing, data collection and monitoring programs, ensures distribution center's performance is maintained and enhanced in areas of safety, security, housekeeping, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. Provides adequate coaching and management development of supervisors and other staff, to ensure capable management succession Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following . Other duties may be assigned. Senior leader on-site with full responsibility for safety and security of plant, equipment, and employees Utilizes SAP as well as other IT platforms in order to monitor, maintain, and manage operational work requirements Uses Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes in order to remove process waste, improve efficiencies, and cut costs within operational requirements Manages, trains, and develops subordinate supervisors ensuring their alignment in operational structure and expectations Responsible for the recruitment, training, and performance management of Shipping Warehouse Workers; oversees the evening performance of security, janitorial crew, as well as a maintenance technician Works with various departments to alleviate operational issues within Shipping department as well as distribution center area of operations in general Develops corrective and preventative actions to enhance productivity, remove errors/waste, as well as achieve overall department objectives Works directly with Transportation Optimization Analyst on route compliance as well as analysis needed within process shipping efficiencies Directly responsible for real-time collaboration with IT in order to expedite outages and issues related to electronic equipment Ensures Fleet trucks are properly loaded in accordance with built routes and club related orders Partners with Transportation Management team to maintain integrity of Fleet vehicles; maintains appropriate safety compliance ensuring vehicles are managed and maintained with expectations set forth by Empire Operation and Safety standards Takes part in monthly safety meetings and drives accountability, awareness, and training in all matters of safety Monitors and maintains attendance accountability within
HRMS/MSS
system Responsible for the inspection, accountability, and physical maintenance of equipment within evening shift hours of operation Ensures that End of Day reporting is completed in compliance with requirements outlined by Director of Operations Continuously reviews work practices and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and safety of all operations. Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Takes part in employee communication meetings and drives successful employee recognition program Partners with Inventory Control to support warehouse matters related to inventories and inventory discrepancies Supervisory Responsibilities Manages two (2) Assistant Managers and five (5) supervisors, who supervise 75+ teammates during the evening distribution operations. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of outbound operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualification s To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelor s Degree preferred from an accredited College/University with three to 3 - 5 years of related experience in leadership, operations, and people development. 6 -10 years of operations leadership will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of warehouse software as well as basic Windows functions, i.e. SAP, KEA, Excel, and Word.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Yellow Belt Lean Sigma Certification or higher is preferred. Forklift certification and other warehouse certifications as needed. Train-the-trainer certifications preferred.
