Distribution Center Warehouse Manager Peach State Truck Centers - 3.1 Doraville, GA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Warehouse management experience Dispatching Full Job Description The warehouse manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of a centralized distribution center and monitoring inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss, maximize revenue and enhance the internal and external customer experience. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and on schedule. This individual will work closely with the
PDC Parts Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensures that goods are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. Assures parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner Administers operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Manages the Distribution Operations department and accomplishes results through delegation of responsibilities through warehouse personnel. Evaluates physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment or purchase of new equipment. Develops best practices for determining staffing and resource needs of department. Establishes the direction of department performance through key performance indicators, dashboards, scorecards, and other operational metrics in alignment with business objectives. Screens, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel. Orient, coach and motivate employees Create Ensures the safety of the workforce and establishes a positive work environment. Leads employee performance and development by monitoring performance, and coaching employees. Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow PSTC safety protocols and safe work practices. Works with Director in ensuring coordination of warehouse activities such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing departments. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Lead and develop a warehouse department team to deliver unparalleled customer service. Create work environment that fosters respect and trust with employees and peers Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Evaluates inventory on hand. Other duties as assigned Experience 3 to 5 years managing a distribution center with high volume and product turn. Experience with delivery and route development. Experience with Six Sigma Principals a big plus. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
