Job Description

Job Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, distribution, and shipping. This role leads and manages warehouse staff (includes Bulk shipping), ensures accurate and timely order fulfillment, maintains compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement in warehouse processes. The Warehouse Manager partners closely with production, supply chain, and finance to optimize workflows and meet business and customer needs. Duties Manage and lead the warehouse department including scheduling of employees, allocation of resources, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations Develop, maintain, and implement training programs for warehouse employees, including cross-training across all warehouse areas Use ERP/Chempax software to track, prioritize, and route orders; assign lot numbers to orders as required Coordinate with planning, production, and supply chain departments to ensure orders are fulfilled in alignment with FIFO (First In/First Out) principles Champion the implementation of work processes within warehouse operations to create positive impact on the order-to-cash workflow Manage all critical documents including advanced shipping notices, packaging tickets, bills of lading, invoices, and PO receipts Direct the flow of packages from preparation through shipment; inspect labels, barcodes, QR codes, and other features of completed orders per company standards Supervise and lead warehouse subordinates including shipping/receiving staff, pour-up/packaging team, bulk shipping team, and warehouse lead Align with production and supply chain department to ensure orders are fulfilled timely Support and provide all requested information to all department in a timely manner Manage and control the shipping department budget, including oversight of overtime Collaborate with purchasing, production, supply chain, and finance departments to optimize processes and resolve issues Manage and Control budget of the shipping department which includes overtime Coordinate between Milledgeville and Ivey shipping/warehouse departments to ensure consistent operations; especially warehouse transfers Maintain warehouse supplies, totes, drums, and pail inventory; manage raw materials and finished product storage and flow Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies Report to management on departmental activities, performance metrics, and issues in a timely manner Maintain a positive safety culture and ensure high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse Follow and promote the Core Values of Z&S across all warehouse operations Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred within Z&S Plant Operations Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics management experience Computer literacy is required; experience with ERP/Chempax software preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments Travel by car, air, or other method when necessary to visit other sites Should be able to drive a forklift and operate warehouse-related rolling stock Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift objects up to 20 lbs. for up to 30% of the time
