Job Description
Interior Exterior Building Supply, the number one commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is searching for a Warehouse Manager for our location in Lake Charles, LA! This position plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the company. Job Responsibilities Oversee all Operation employees including, Drivers, Helpers, Warehouse Labor and Forklift Operators. Manage all aspects of the warehouse such as stocking, reordering, inventory, safety. Ensure the building, trucks, forklifts, and any other equipment is properly maintained. Complete Safety Orientation with all employees. Conduct monthly Safety Meetings. Handle emergencies such as employee accidents or incidents along with all the reporting and follow up that goes with it. Act as main liaison between the Branch and the Safety Director. Work closely with Human Resources on all new hires, terminations, corrective action, and personnel changes for all Warehouse employees. Required Skills/Abilities High School Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred. Must have 3 years' management experience, preferably with a building supply distribution background. Must have basic mechanical knowledge for maintaining forklifts and trucks - ability to communicate problems to mechanic for resolution when necessary. Overall knowledge of DOT requirements including knowledge of EDL (electronic driving logs) is required. Forklift certification is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Why work for Interior Exterior Building Supply?
