Job Description

Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to help fulfill client orders. This involves accurately and efficiently handling and tracking inventory, as well as packing orders and preparing for customer delivery. The Fulfillment & Inventory Manager is responsible for managing inventory accuracy, organizing warehouse and freezer storage, coordinating fulfillment activities, and supporting the overall efficiency of Apsey Farms' fulfillment operation. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of inventory systems, fulfillment processes, and warehouse organization while helping build scalable systems that support company growth. Responsibilities Picking & packing items from cold storage areas (freezers) Assembling customer orders for deliveries Verify order accuracy & quality standards Monitor inventory levels & communicate restocking needs Ensure proper product rotation & FIFO practices Maintain freezer & warehouse organization Preparing & assembling boxes for packing Receiving & storing inbound inventory Coordinate shipping materials & packaging supplies Optimize storage locations & product accessibility Support food safety & quality control standards Assist in improving fulfillment workflows & efficiency Track fulfillment metrics & identify opportunities for improvement Update inventory & fulfillment systems as needed Maintaining team accuracy & efficiency benchmarks General cleaning, maintenance, & organizing of the fulfillment center Support special projects related to operations & logistics
NOTE:
Order fulfillment is the main priority, and other tasks are to be tackled strategically during "downtime"
Requirements:
Team player; ability to work in a highly motivated & collaborative team environment Ability to use deductive reasoning Willingness to report to management Willingness to take responsibility for work performed, oversight, & areas of improvement Strong ability to follow written & verbal instructions Learning spirit; this position requires proficiency in several order management systems Comfortable using computers and inventory software Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in freezer environments Ability to prioritize & manage time effectively
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in food production, agriculture, or distribution Experience with Shopify or e-commerce fulfillment Familiarity with inventory management systems

Hours:
15-20/week Time of day: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (time may vary) Days of week: Mon -
Weds NOTE:
Additional hours may be available during peak seasons, inventory counts, or special projects.
Compensation:
Starting wage: $16-18/hr Accuracy bonus potential: $50-100/week Company food credits: $150/month
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
