Job Description

The Manager of Water Distribution serves as part of the senior management team and reports directly to the General Manager. This position is responsible for the administration, direct supervision, operation, maintenance, and strategic direction of the water distribution system. The Manager provides leadership to ensure the safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of the utility's water facilities and infrastructure while planning for current and future water system needs. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the water utility industry, demonstrating strong technical, operational, administrative, and supervisory capabilities. A bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required. The successful candidate must possess, or obtain within one year of employment, a Class B Water Supply System Operator Certificate and a valid driver s license. Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning and maintenance, regulatory compliance, budgeting, project and construction management, personnel administration, and utility strategic planning is preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this position.
