Distribution Manager
Loads and unloads product and empty containers, merchandises product; accounts for all product delivered/returned and money collected, completes paperwork as required.
Facilitates communications for truck and equipment repairs with vehicle maintenance personnel.
Interviews and hires employees.
Assists management in performing annual performance reviews with drivers and/or merchandisers.
Recommends pay changes based on performance.
Coordinates work hours including scheduling, approving time off requests, tracking absences, timekeeping and managing driver overtime expenses.
Assists as needed with beverage section and cooler resets.
Maintains warehouse and safety cleanliness throughout the facility.
Maintains compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Learns all routes in branch and has the ability to run routes as needed.
Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate that maximizes employee morale and productivity. Manages the Branch Warehouse Budget. Completes a Driver Daily Pride-List and a Trailer Inspection Pride List. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have acceptable driving record and pass physical and drug test. Class CDL-A license required. Distribution Manager Join the winning Team! Be a team member with Viking Coca-Cola as a Distribution Manager at our St Cloud MN facility. Job duties and responsibilities for the Distribution Manager include: Provides training to drivers on the merchandising standards on an ongoing basis (requires on the job training with drivers while deliveries are made).Trains drivers and/or merchandisers on company policies and procedures. Oversees and maintains accuracy and compliance with all required paperwork and execution of detail. - Strong communication, organization, and basic math for inventory counts
- Valid Class C license and health card; satisfactory MVR per Vehicle Safety Policy
- Solid knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
