SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
Furniture/Home Furnishing/Cabinetry warehousing and delivery management, Client SLA management, WMS and scheduling. This experience must be indicated and highlighted on your resume/work experience.Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the Warehouse General Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse and delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse facility. The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring warehouse and delivery operations run smoothly each day.Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Manage and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products. Ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet customer demands and service level agreements.Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse supervisors, general laborers, and administrative staff. Provide coaching, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce.Inventory Control:
Implement inventory management best practices to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and prevent overstock situations. Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.Order Fulfillment:
Coordinate with the logistics team to prioritize orders, optimize picking and packing processes, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Monitor order fulfillment metrics and implement improvements as needed.Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and best practices to create a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations, transportation, and product handling.Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain quality control processes to inspect products for damages, defects, or discrepancies. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. Qualifications- background in supply chain management, inventory control, and warehouse management
- Proven experience in supervising teams and managing transportation operations
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and logistics processes
- Proficiency in inventory management and implementing process improvements
- Previous experience in operations management and 3PL services
- Skills in distribution center operations, purchasing, and forklift operation
Freight Management:
oversee scheduling and routing functions for inbound freight and outbound deliveries, including contracted home delivery carriers.Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$50,000.00- $65,000.
