Warehouse Manager Reports To:
Branch Manager Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will establish and implement short and long-range objectives for the assigned departments, oversee related functions and activities, and administer company policies and procedures within the Warehouse/Operations Departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
May assist branch management in the hiring and training of new Warehouse staff. Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of staff within the Warehouse Departments. As requested by the Branch Manager, conduct or assist with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Assists the Branch Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency. Manages daily aspects of the branch and its staff to ensure projects, goals, and customer needs are met. Collaborates with Department Managers and Branch Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects. Collaborates with Branch Manager to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of company profit. Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports. Assists in the management of inventory, facilitating purchases as needed, and verifies costs and receipts. Manages conflicts and resolves complaints within the Warehouse Departments. Performs other related duties as assigned by Branch Manager.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create and present ideas, reports, and budgets in various formats. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to navigate to various departments in a safe and timely manner Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
