Job Description

Job Description The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be the primary leader for the warehouse overseeing all operations for the Greensboro NC location and report to the Sr Manager that oversees all NC operations for the organization. This individual will be expected to oversee all people and operational management matters for the location with roughly 17 employees including a group lead and two team leads. Duties include but are not limited to:
  •  Lead daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement
  •  Monitor operational performance and ensure customer expectations are met
  •  Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and Lean methodologies
  •  Establish and improve warehouse procedures and workflows utilizing TPS principles
  •  Manage labor utilization, staffing, budgets, and monthly operational reporting
  •  Develop team members and succession plans to ensure operational continuity
  •  Track and deliver facility KPI goals
  •  Promote and maintain a strong 5S culture throughout the operation This is a full time.
direct hire role with compensation ranging from 75-95k based on experience.   •  6+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations experience
  •  Leadership experience managing warehouse teams, supervisors, or department leads
  •  Experience overseeing safety, quality, productivity, and employee relations
  •  Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs and operational metrics
  •  Experience developing, coaching, and training warehouse staff
  •  Automotive, manufacturing, or high-volume distribution environment
  •  Experience with FMDS or similar warehouse management/reporting systems
  •  5S implementation and maintenance experience
  •  Exposure to Toyota Production System (TPS) environments
