Job Description
Overview The person in this role is the on-site leader responsible for the performance, safety, and growth of a single-site warehouse operation based in Kernersville, NC. This role owns all daily site operations, facility maintenance, and workforce leadership while serving as a key customer-facing representative of the business. This position is ideal for an operational leader who thrives in hands-on environments, takes pride in ownership, and is motivated to grow a business through strong execution and partnership with other business unit leaders and sales. We are looking for someone who is a proactive problem solver and that has keen attention to detail, motivated by success and the opportunity for growth. Key Responsibilities Site Operations & Facilities Oversee all daily storage and site operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and service excellence Manage facility maintenance, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance programs Operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently Team Leadership Lead and manage site personnel including forklift operators, sanitation staff, and general labor Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and proper training/certification Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and employee development Safety & Compliance Own site safety performance and promote a strong safety-first culture Conduct periodic safety meetings, audits, and incident follow-up Customer & Business Ownership Serve as the primary point of contact for customers at the site Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving Take full ownership of the site as a business unit, including service quality and operational performance Growth & Sales Partnership Identify opportunities to improve utilization, expand services, and drive growth Partner with Sales on customer tours, new business opportunities, and customer onboarding Provide operational insight to support pricing, proposals, and growth initiatives Qualifications 5+ years of experience in facilities, storage, logistics, and/or site operations Proven experience leading teams in an operational environment Strong working knowledge of forklifts and material handling operations Customer-facing experience with the ability to build trust and credibility Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills Well developed technical skills utilizing MS Office suite and ability to use other software/technology as needed
