Job Description

Job Overview The Postmaster Relief plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of postal services. This position requires a reliable individual who can manage various postal duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. The Postmaster Relief will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with postal regulations. The Postmaster Relief will work up to 6 days per week to serve customers at a public window open for 2 hours per day. Duties Assist in the daily operations of the post office, including sorting and distributing mail. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Maintain accurate records of mail transactions and inventory. Ensure compliance with all postal regulations and policies. Handle financial transactions, including postage sales and money orders. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Postmaster. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in basic computer applications and postal software is a plus. Must be able to pass a background check as required by postal regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the community while gaining valuable experience in postal operations.
