Operating since 2006, the organization boasts a first-class portfolio that features many of the industry's finest wine, spirits, and beer brands. Additionally, Johnson Brothers is the only statewide distributor to provide delivery to customers across the Cornhusker state. Job Description Summary This position is responsible for a fast-paced warehouse operation. The scope of this role includes direct management of day/night warehouse and driver personnel, execution of high-quality service to customers and internal stakeholders, leading compliance and safety, managing productivity and cost performance, and driving continuous improvement. Direct day warehouse, night warehouse, and facility personnel, policies, procedures and practices. Responsible for inventory management and control, standard operating procedures, safety, productivity, and financial cost center management. Identify opportunities for improvement. Lead or supervise implementation of these opportunities. Coordinate and collaborate with other managers and corporate personnel to ensure smooth operation to meet business requirements. Sustain and improve service levels to customers. Develop and enhance productive working relationships with executives, managers, and staff across the organization as well as customers and other stakeholders outside the company. Hire, train, develop and manage staff. Ensure staff perform efficient operations. Establish and utilize performance-based means of managing vendor services. Oversee and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory laws, including those related to delivery fleet and warehouse operations. Maintain and safeguard company assets (e.g. building, personal property, inventory, cash). Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Relevant four-year degree preferred. Strong leadership experience, including 7+ years of progressive operating responsibility, including leadership of warehouse operations and inventory operations. 5 - 10 years previous management experience in warehouse/distribution environment. Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team. Experience and knowledge with applicable federal regulations pertaining to the company's business operations including OSHA and DOT regulations. Excellent professional communication skills. Strong proficiency with warehouse software. Strong Word and Excel experience required. Ability to manage competing demands, frequent change, delays and unexpected events. Ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels, often in stressful situations. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills.
