  • based importer and distributor of premium European biomass boiler systems, with a focus on clean energy, innovation, and high-performance service.
Our small but specialized team works closely with international and domestic partners to deliver cutting-edge wood chip and pellet boiler systems. We're seeking a highly capable Distribution Manager to oversee daily operations, lead internal teams, and ensure our distribution pipeline runs smoothly from purchase to post-sale support. Position Summary The Distribution Manager is a central hub of our company's operations. This role combines inventory management, team leadership, customer communication, vendor coordination, and technical expertise. You will supervise and work alongside sales, shipping and receiving, and in-house technical support staff while maintaining hands-on involvement with daily logistics and customer service. Your responsibilities will also include communicating with our European and American partners, making purchasing and financial decisions, and keeping our team aligned with market trends and company goals. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Supervision
  • Supervise Sales staff, Shipping and Receiving personnel, and In-House Technical Support team
  • Coordinate and delegate daily tasks related to purchasing, receiving, shipping, packing, inventory, and customer communication
  • Oversee onboarding and training support staff
  • Maintain a team-oriented and customer-focused work culture Customer And Vendor Communication
  • Act as primary point of contact for customer phone tech support (resolve issues that can be addressed remotely
  • Communicate professionally with vendors and clients to ensure smooth service and technical clarity
  • Liaise directly with manufacturers for parts procurement, technical updates, and logistics
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipping, including customs procedures. Inventory, Logistics and Operations
  • Place inventory orders and track inbound shipments
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and packing of equipment and parts
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure timely fulfillment of service and sales needs
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in shipping and receiving documentation
  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to confirm stock availability and ensure a smooth, customer-focused fulfillment process. Technical and Product Expertise
  • Stay current with boiler technology, controls, schematics, and software tools
  • Support boiler technicians by analyzing reports and determining parts to order for repairs. This involves excellent research and communication with techs and vendors
  • Contribute technical input to customer solutions, service manuals, and internal knowledge sharing Financial and Strategic Management
  • Make purchasing and financial decisions for the distribution division
  • Work closely with Bookkeeper and leadership to monitor invoices, sales goals, and purchasing trends using Zoho Books
  • Stay current with Tariff rates and adjust pricing and customer expectation accordingly
  • Track and report on performance metrics to support strategic growth Market Intelligence
  • Monitor trends in renewable heating and biomass technology
  • Provide input to leadership on product offerings, pricing, and customer needs based on market shifts Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Proven experience in distribution, logistics, and/or technical operations
  • Strong team leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent in-person, phone and written communication
  • Technical familiarity with mechanical systems, preferably HVAC or biomass boiler systems
  • Proficient in inventory systems and business software (Google Suite, including Sheets, a must, Zoho Books, FSM, Inventory, we will train
  • Hands-on mindset with willingness to work on-site daily
  • Applicant must be detail-oriented and willing to research extensively Preferred
  • Background in mechanical or HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with boiler systems a plus
  • Experience managing small teams in technical environments
