POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS
:
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Delivery Lead who takes full ownership of delivery and operates with a high-agency, execution-first mindset. This is not a coordination role. You are accountable for outcomes. You will serve as the single point of accountability for delivery, owning execution from intake through release. You will work closely with engineering, product, and client stakeholders to ensure priorities are clear, commitments are met, and delivery is predictable. You are expected to anticipate problems, drive alignment, and remove obstacles before they impact the team. You do not wait for direction-you create momentum.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Delivery Ownership:
  • 10+ years experience owning delivery outcomes across all workstreams-commitments, timelines, and quality are your responsibility
  • Drive execution with urgency and discipline; identify risks early and resolve them decisively
  • Maintain a real-time view of delivery status across features, dependencies, and teams
  • Ensure nothing falls through the cracks-you close gaps before they become issues
Work Intake, Prioritization & Focus:
  • Build and enforce a structured work intake and prioritization model
  • Ruthlessly prioritize to ensure the team is always working on the highest-impact items
  • Protect team capacity by pushing back on noise, unplanned work, and unclear requests
  • Adapt quickly when priorities shift-without losing control of delivery
Agile Execution Leadership:
  • Run high-quality Scrum ceremonies with a focus on execution, not process theater
  • Ensure backlog readiness, clear acceptance criteria, and strong sprint commitments
  • Actively participate in Product Increment (PI) planning and ensure alignment to execution
  • Continuously raise the bar on delivery rigor, predictability, and team performance
Client & Stakeholder Accountability:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client on all delivery matters
  • Align with client managers on roadmap, scope, and priorities for upcoming increments
  • Communicate clearly, directly, and proactively-especially on risks and trade-offs
  • Build trust through consistency, transparency, and ownership
Engineering & Execution Alignment:
  • Partner with Tech Leads to ensure scalable, sound architecture supports delivery goals
  • Work with engineering teams to break features into actionable, well-defined stories
  • Ensure tight alignment between business intent and technical execution
  • Track features through completion, ensuring readiness for release
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong technical foundation (former engineer or equivalent hands-on experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, high-impact engineering initiatives
  • Experience leading Agile teams with a strong bias toward execution and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and fast-changing environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including client-facing experience Core Traits (Non-Negotiable):
  • High Agency:
You take initiative, create clarity, and drive outcomes without waiting
  • Extreme Ownership:
You own delivery end-to-end-no deflection, no excuses
  • Execution Bias:
You focus on results over process; you get things done
  • Client Leadership:
You are trusted as the accountable delivery lead by the client
Resilience & Adaptability:
You stay effective under pressure and shifting priorities
