Supervisor - RWJBarnabas Health At RWJBarnabas Health, the Supervisor plays a critical role in patient care and operational excellence. Operating with a high level of independence, they ensure that medical equipment and supplies are distributed and recovered in a safe and timely manner according to legal and professional standards. They are responsible for reviewing pickup tickets, scheduling logistics, directly supervising the driver team, and maintaining precise equipment inventory. A typical day for a Supervisor may include: Manages and supervises a dedicated team of drivers on a daily basis while tracking and reporting monthly productivity. Maintains positive relationships within the team and follows proper guidelines when approving time-off requests and managing department staffing. Oversees the maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, and overall functionality of all company vehicles to ensure driver safety and compliance. Ensures strict adherence to correct delivery procedures, Virtue Track system usage, and proper resolution of vendor technical issues. Monitors driver P-card usage, enforces monthly submission deadlines, and conducts re-trainings on incorrect financial processes as needed. Reviews daily To-Do lists to schedule timely patient pickups for medical equipment and sharps disposal, maintaining less than a one-week turnaround. Evaluates Pump PM reports and schedules pump switch-outs efficiently to prevent any disruption in patient therapy. Processes emergency EMS boxes and enters all supplier-related equipment data directly into Caretend upon delivery or recovery. Prints pickup tickets, coordinates directly with patients, and systematically confirms pickup tickets in the system once equipment is returned. Documents detailed progress notes in the patient file and ensures drivers accurately enter delivery and pickup notes in real-time. Demonstrates flexibility by executing other operational duties, committee assignments, and regulatory tasks as assigned by management. Creating a positive, reliable, and compliant distribution experience is central to your leadership approach. To be considered for this Supervisor opportunity: High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of distribution, driving, and delivery experience is required. Prior experience in dispatching, equipment tracking, and supervising teams is highly preferred. Proficiency in pharmacy logistics software including Caretend, Virtue Track, and required corporate learning platforms (symplr). Strong foundational knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and general temperature-controlled warehousing protocols. Flexibility to multitask under pressure, forecast high-volume days, and dynamically adjust driver schedules to meet patient needs.
