Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team and drive excellence in warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily distribution center activities, ensuring smooth inventory control, process improvement, and efficient logistics. Your leadership will help foster a safe, productive environment where team members are motivated to achieve operational goals. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily warehouse distribution activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance on process improvements, safety protocols, and team leadership. Oversee the operation of material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient movement of goods. Maintain accurate inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems. Coordinate logistics efforts to optimize distribution center operations and streamline workflows. Implement lean management principles to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste across warehouse functions. Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments, managing documentation, and resolving discrepancies. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and perform cycle counts to maintain accuracy. Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing operational costs. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations with a strong understanding of distribution center processes. Previous warehouse supervisor or managerial experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and heavy lifting gear safely. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and RF scanners. Strong knowledge of logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling best practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and communicate effectively at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
