Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse functions (receiving, storage, and shipping; leading and managing warehouse staff; ensuring inventory accuracy; and enforcing safety regulations) and implementing efficiency improvements, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to meet objectives. Oversee and manage all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods. Implement and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve productivity, accuracy, and safety. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and manage the distribution plan of a business. Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources. Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and delivery providers. Inventory and materials management Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, and conduct regular stock takes. Track the movement of goods and manage materials management. Ensure the accuracy of outbound shipments. Staff and leadership Supervise, lead, and train warehouse staff, including hiring and performance management. Create work schedules and allocate resources to meet productivity goals. Develop and enforce safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Performance and improvement Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Develop and manage the warehouse budget and control costs. Collaboration and compliance Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with business objectives. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and other relevant regulations. Handle issues related to damaged or missing inventory and resolve discrepancies.
