ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Warehouse Manager serves VVFP employees by overseeing the warehouse, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials. .WHO WE ARE
Vegas Valley Fire Protection (VVFP) is Las Vegas' premier full-service design and installation fire sprinkler firm. We've kept Nevada's people and places of business safe since 1998. Our newly expanded office/warehouse location is located just moments from the esteemed Allegiant Stadium. We provide team members with state-of-the-art in-house training programs, quality tools, company vehicle programs, best-in-class computer equipment, software technologies and more. We are a collaboration of Nevada's most educated, dedicated fire sprinkler professionals. And we are searching for a few more of the industry's best of the best to join our growing organization. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:- Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular stock checks and audits.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as purchasing and project management, to ensure timely delivery of materials for construction projects.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms.
- Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, orders, and shipments.
- Analyze data and generate reports to monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance department to control warehouse operating expenses and budget effectively.
- Implement and maintain a system for tracking equipment and tools to prevent loss and ensure proper maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in warehouse management to continuously improve operations.
- Must maintain a safe driving record.
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Vegas Valley Fire Protection mission, vision, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Management that are related to the fundamental aspects of the position.

)- High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 (Five) years of experience in a logistics/warehouse role, 3 of those being in a supervisory decision-making position. OSHA 10. Must be 18 years of age at hire date. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficient with reading, legible writing, and basic typing skills. Ability to comply with all federal and state agency requirements. Must possess the proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
