Job Description
Summary We are seeking a Warehouse Control Manager to join our team at Hamilton by Gunnebo (fka Hamilton Security). This role is is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support smooth operational flow within an organization. The role ensures that goods, materials, and supplies are properly received, stored, documented, and distributed, helping prevent shortages, delays, or excess inventory. This role focuses heavily on people management, physical space optimization, and operational execution. The ideal candidate will cultivate a high-performing team culture, enforce rigid safety standards, and execute lean manufacturing or distribution workflows to ensure peak facility efficiency.
Responsibilities Inventory Management:
Oversee all inventory activities, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain precise digital and physical records.
Auditing:
Lead regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to identify and resolve stock variances promptly. Assist in the research and verification as needed.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse associates to consistently meet and exceed performance metrics.
Operations & Workflow:
Manage the end-to-end receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to guarantee on-time delivery and maximize customer satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce OSHA regulations, oversee equipment maintenance, and cultivate a "safety-first" culture to eliminate workplace hazards.
Workplace Standardization:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S methodology) to eliminate waste, boost safety, and optimize operational efficiency. Review existing system, provide input for improvements, and provide end user training. Deploy stocking strategies and partner with site buyers and operational leaders to govern replenishment execution. Update, maintain and generate reports utilizing multiple databases to ensure correct inventory levels, KPI's and performance. Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field or 7 years direct industry experience or equivalent combination of eduction and direct industry experience. Experience in inventory planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. 3-year experience with supervising and training warehouse staff, including performance management. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, etc.) and inventory management systems; ability to interpret BOM and routing structures. Experience with Sage a plus. Advanced Excel and data analysis capability; ability to evaluate trends and production demand. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills for partnering with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams.
