Job Description

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Manager provides strategic and tactical direction regarding the management of inventory and shipment of finished goods for the food manufacturing facility, and off-site third-party distribution centers. Direct, train and motivate warehouse supervisors and employees to meet warehouse and transportation standards, goals, efficiencies and customer service. Coordinate activities between production, customer service and warehouse to assure a smooth flow of material at optimum cost.

Position Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for warehouse activities that assure the timely and efficient movement of product through the warehouse. Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures. Oversees shipping, receiving, production supply, inventory control and standard storage practices to maximize the flow of product through the facility to meet customer requirements, maximum fill rate, on time delivery and damage free shipments. Recommend measures to improve warehousing methods and performance while adhering to company budget and financial metrics. Direct responsibility to communicate and implement effective work schedules for all warehouse activities to ensure optimum operating results, timely inbound receiving to maximize order fill-rate and the timely shipment of customer orders to meet requested delivery date Directly responsible to enforce established programs and procedures designed to achieve operating metric goals in the areas of customer service, productivity, safety, sanitation, inventory control and product damage. Guides, coaches and develops employees in a worker-friendly team environment that rewards performance with respect and trust. Administer discipline, corrective action and coaching as needed. Communicate written and oral instructions to work team Formulate and recommend improvements and changes within the operation to assist the Warehouse Team attain of all operational goals and standards Drive and facilitate continuous improvement projects and assignments Point of contact for offsite warehouse facilities Serve as backup and vacation coverage in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisors Miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree Strongly Preferred in: Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field 2 years of experience working with SAP required Excellent communication written/verbal is required, with the ability to read, write and communicate in English Efficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required Five to Seven years of supervisory and logistics experience preferred Excellent problem-solving skills with the Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Maintains a clean appearance including completing all housekeeping requirements and ensuring fork trucks are kept in a clean and sanitary condition Works and communicates well in a team environment. Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred
