We serve retail supermarkets, meat markets, distributors, foodservice operators, and institutional customers across local, regional, and national markets. We are seeking an experienced Refrigerated Warehouse & Distribution Manager to lead our refrigerated/frozen warehouse, order fulfillment, inbound receiving, fleet scheduling, routing, dispatch, and outbound distribution operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a practical, organized, and accountable manager who understands the pace, urgency, and discipline required in perishable food logistics.
Important schedule note:
Our distribution operation runs on a multi-shift, 24-hour basis. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work the shift, hours, and schedule necessary to meet operational, staffing, customer service, and delivery needs. Key Responsibilities
    Warehouse Operations:
Manage refrigerated and frozen warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, staging, shipping, and product rotation.
      Distribution & Fleet Oversight:
Supervise delivery fleet activities, outside carriers, routing, scheduling, dispatch, delivery performance, and cost-effective use of transportation resources.
        Order Fulfillment:
Coordinate closely with sales, customer service, production, purchasing, QA, and operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
          Inventory Control:
Maintain strong discipline around inventory accuracy, lot control, product rotation, shrink reduction, and warehouse organization.
            Food Safety & Quality:
Work with the QA team to uphold food safety, sanitation, product handling, temperature control, and regulatory requirements for meat and poultry products.
              Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, schedule, and hold accountable warehouse employees, drivers, dispatch, and support personnel across shifts.
                Process Improvement:
Identify bottlenecks, reduce errors, improve picking and shipping efficiency, strengthen communication, and implement practical operating improvements.
                  Customer Service:
Support excellent service to retail, distributor, foodservice, and institutional customers by ensuring reliable deliveries, accurate orders, and fast issue resolution.
                    Safety & Compliance:
Reinforce safe work practices, proper equipment usage, DOT/fleet compliance where applicable, and strong housekeeping standards in a cold-storage environment. Ideal Candidate Profile

                    • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to be visible on the floor, communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and set high standards.
                    • Strong organizational skills, urgency, follow-through, and the ability to manage competing priorities under time-sensitive delivery schedules.
                    • Meat, poultry, protein, or foodservice distribution experience is strongly preferred. What We Offer
