Account Manager (Multi-Channel Distribution) Pasadena, TX 77502 Hybrid work $105,039.95 - $117,284.67 a year - Full-time $105,039.95 - $117,284.67 a year - Full-time Overview Our client is an international company, specializing in instrumentation, sensors, gauges and software for the oil & gas, food and medical industries. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager specializing in Multi-Channel Distribution to join their dynamic team. They are seeking a strong candidate in the early to mid-career level professional with experience dealing with multi-channel distribution defined as selling through multiple channels in the same geography. This role will require robust travel (about 70%.) Candidate must be local to the Houston area. Primary accounts are located within Texas and Oklahoma.
Key Responsibilities:
Make local sales calls with both Distributors and End Users. Meet or exceed annual sales objectives. Establishes annual goals and objectives with distributors/resellers as required. Develop & implement equally agreed business plans with key distributors, customers and resellers. Develops and increases distributor/reseller business. Responsible for keeping distributors and resellers accountable to agreed-upon business plans. Provides standard sales coverage to existing accounts and evaluates new potential accounts through channel or direct sales. Identifies, establishes and pursues target account programs. Coordinates EPC program (engineering, procurement, and construction) within assigned geographical territory, as required. Implementing key business strategies for key locations of national and global accounts. Provides quotation follow-up, feedback on open quotations with team in a timely manner. Closely utilizes the CRM and opportunity pipeline up to date. Augments/alters distribution as necessary, as result of analysis, to achieve optimum coverage and profitability. Establishes and conducts joint calls on target accounts. Provides training on new and existing products on a regular basis. Participate in National, Regional, and local trade shows.
Provides competitive feedback:
prices, distribution, catalogs, products, etc. Determines market potential and develops business plan as required. Maintains flow of business information between Sales & Marketing Director and Marketing/Customer Care Department. Operates according to and within budget guidelines. Files monthly sales report, advance itinerary, and expense reports on a timely basis. Your Profile & Experience A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical field including Engineering and/or an Associate's Degree in Business or Technical fields. 3-10 years industry/technical experience in sales/marketing/engineering. Basic understanding of customer contracts. Experience selling multi-channel distribution. Ability to support up to 70% overnight travel. Strong interpersonal skills. Proven success in distribution management role. Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and contact management or CRM software) Excellent communication, writing, listening and presentation skills.
