Job Description

Warehouse Manager Smith Dray Line is seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, deliveries, equipment, and warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate will be organized, hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable communicating directly with customers and company leadership. Responsibilities Manage daily warehouse operations and workflow Supervise warehouse employees and assign daily responsibilities Receive, inspect, document, and properly store incoming products Maintain accurate inventory records and product locations Coordinate customer pickups, deliveries, and outbound shipments Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email Prepare and maintain receiving reports, inventory records, and related paperwork Operate a forklift and ensure warehouse equipment is used safely Monitor product for damage, shortages, or discrepancies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed Enforce company safety procedures and operating standards Coordinate with sales, operations, drivers, and project managers Help manage residential and commercial moving or storage projects Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of warehouse experience Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience Forklift operating experience Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly Basic computer and email skills Inventory management experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Ability to lift, carry, and move warehouse materials safely Professional attitude when communicating with customers and employees Preferred Qualifications Residential and commercial moving or warehousing experience Furniture receiving, storage, delivery, or installation experience Experience managing crews, drivers, or warehouse personnel Familiarity with inventory-management or warehouse-management software Forklift certification What We Are Looking For We need a reliable leader who takes ownership of the warehouse and understands the importance of organization, inventory accuracy, safety, customer communication, and accountability. This is a hands-on management position for someone willing to lead the team while also helping with daily warehouse operations when necessary.
