Assistant Warehouse Manager and Trainer

OBJECTIVE

The Warehouse Assistant Manager for assisting the Warehouse Manager with all administrative aspects of Knoxville Warehouse Operations. This includes assisting the Day and Night Warehouse Managers in the execution of their duties, as well as ensuring that all transactions are properly documented and filed. The Warehouse Administrator will be a motivated, hands-on team member with a proven track record of attention to detail and a positive team attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting the Night Manager in their duties, including but not limited to: Moving and organizing pallets that are delivered from the Nashville Warehouse Organizing pallets and products for delivery on route Organize, sort, and check route paperwork, including placing off-day orders into correct routes, and holding unapproved orders in the warehouse. Locating and organizing POS, Tap Handles, signage, displays, and samples. Assisting the night manager in organizing product, POS, Tap Handles, and any other items by route in preparation for drivers. Printing invoices and pickups as required. Assisting the Day Manager in their duties, including but not limited to: Checking in drivers after completion of their routes. Document all returned items and the reason for the return. Document all breakage, including the driver and reason for breakage. Document all mispicks. Collect all returns, breakage, mispicks, and associated documentation for return to the Nashville warehouse on the nightly semi load Check driver paperwork. Ensure originals and all checks are sent to Nashville Warehouse. Make photocopies to keep on file in the Knoxville warehouse. Assisting the drivers as needed but not limited to: Delivering routes when there are multiple absences Assist in loading and unloading as needed Relay concerns from drivers. Alert management of any maintenance requirements to equipment and vehicles to ensure efficient operations Training all drivers and certifying them as needed Maintaining all truck inspections and certification Assist in maintaining the warehouse in clean and orderly condition. Serve as the liaison between the warehouse staff, drivers, and Warehouse Managers. Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale. Advise Warehouse/Operations Manager on any improvements to operational policies and procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs all related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school degree or equivalent Experience in warehouse management and operations Able to interact and communicate well with all team members. Analytical ability to gather and interpret data to recommend process changes to management as required. Excellent communication skills. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail oriented. Experience with Microsoft Office Well organized and good time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and deal with frequent interruptions. Fork-lift certification or ability to be trained. Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, reaching, pulling, pushing and climbing stairs. Ability to work in hot/cold environment.
